Chapter Awards

Year after year, our Alpha Lambda Delta chapter continues to be nationally recognized for excellence. Of all the numerous chapters nationwide, only up to five receive these prestigious awards.

Chapters demonstrating outstanding programming, activities, and service are acknowledged with The Order of the Torch.

The Lampadia Website Award recognizes outstanding websites for their overall quality, design, content, currency, and navigability.

ALPHA LAMBDA DELTA and PHI ETA SIGMA are national academic honor societies. Their purposes are to encourage and reward academic excellence, promote intelligent living in a high standard of learning, and assist students in recognizing and developing meaningful goals in society.

Most campuses only offer one or the other in recent years. At UCLA, we integrated the two chapters to essentially provide double the amount of resources and opportunities. A one-time fee provides lifetime membership to both national societies.

In addition to the academic emphasis, our group focuses on networking and service to our community. Scholarships are also awarded to exceptional members.

For more about our activities, see our Programs and Photos section.

Membership will give you the opportunity to network with future colleagues and peers in the job market. Membership also offers endless opportunities to explore your leadership skills by serving as an officer in one of the organizations. You will also be afforded the opportunity to work with a team of dedicated individuals and interact closely with the deans in the Office of the Dean of Students.
